I just learned a couple days ago that the “iPhone X” is supposed to be pronounced “iPhone ten.” For years I’ve been saying “X” like Malcolm, or the owl.
There are drawbacks to not having cable (o
r teenage kids) to keep you informed
. I also don’t know how to pronounce Buttigieg. Nor will I try.

Except when they came out with OS X it was pronounced as it’s writ te n. Of cour se they have to change it up.
My parents have been using Apple computers since I can remember, so ~1993/1994. I remember when we upgraded from OS 9 to OS X; I was not a fan of OS X back then.

OS X is actually supposed to be said “mac OS ten” according to Apple. Nobody does though.

I bet this guy informed you of your error too. Same guy held up two fingers and asked for 5 beers. What a piece of work.
